Magnus Anderson American Legion Post 399 was established by 17 veterans led by George Erich in March of 1936 and was given a temporary charter in May of 1936.
Governed democratically with annual elections, the Post received its permanent charter on 14 March 1940 and remains a pillar of the Okauchee community. Membership is open to those who served honorably in the U.S. Armed Forces, Sons of the American Legion, Auxiliary, and the Magnus Anderson Home Association (MAHA).

Dedicated to honoring military service and community support, the Post promotes American Legion principles and non-partisanship. It organizes various events supporting veterans and the community.

The American Legion is dedicated to preserving and celebrating the legacy of service and sacrifice, honoring those who have served our nation and ensuring they are remembered.

March of 2025 was our 85th year anniversary.
